WHARF REPAIRS UNDERWAY - Repairs on the Village of Wallace Wharf began the week of July 5. Demolition consisted of the removal of damaged piers and some rotted wooden support structure, as well as the demolition and removal of Elliott’s Lobster Pound. There has been a lobster pound on the Wallace Wharf for at least half a century and villagers are keeping their fingers crossed that Phillip Elliott, owner of the retail lobster sale outlet since the 1970s, will decide to rebuild and stay in business.
